DESIGN

We design contextually specific buildings attuned to natural ecologies and architectural environments. Our work demonstrates sustainable principles in design and construction to create enduring structures and refined spaces for a range of client and commissions.

We use practice-based research to explore the experiential qualities of the built environment through mapping, observation and listening. We use field recordings in particular to discover and express a deeper understanding of place.

The studio works across different scales and formats. We design education programmes, workshops and exhibitions that explore the integration of materials, ecology, and place-based knowledge in the design and creation of spatial experiences.
