Cineál Research & Design is a collaborative architectural practice led by Phoebe Brady and Sarah Doheny.
We are interested in understanding architectural spaces at a human level and in how we can design with kindness, in a thoughtful and considered way, through careful observation and response to what already exists around us.
We identify as an environmentally sensitive practice where drawing, designing and building processes are rooted in place, connecting local landscape knowledge, ecology, geology, climate and weather.
Our research projects embody the ideologies that we endeavour to maintain through our built practice; to create new architectural ecologies that reduce environmental impact. This involves a careful consideration of a project’s scope, re-use as first port of call, carefully sourcing materials and minimising embodied and operational energy requirements of architecture design.
