Redevelopment Architectural and Landscape Design Competition 2020

Bishop Lucey Park in Cork’s city centre is understood as a multiplicity of narratives ranging from archaeology, to natural habitats and plant life, to contemporary and historical pastimes and routes.

Our proposal for the competition seeks to draw on the existing contexts of the park to re-create its cultural entity; a new public garden or constructed landscape that creates a continuous condition in which old and new elements and materials are woven with natural and man-made fabric.
