Public Realm Proposals for Phibsborough in collaboration with Robert Bourke Architects (RBA) and Phizzfest 2020.

Cineál worked with RBA and Phizzfest, a voluntary arts and community organisation to develop their for the future of Phibsborough’s public realm as it undergoes change and development. The research and output was used to inform the Local Environmental Improvements Plan (LEIP). The group also consulted with the landscape architects and engineers for ‘Bus Connects’ to uncover where this new transport link has potential to improve the public realm of the area and put forward our observations and suggestions for incorporation into the plan.

Cineál made mappings of the area that focused on gathering a layered and multiple understandings of place, using material from Phizzfest’s database, walking and mapping and modes including drawing, photography and sound recording and engaged an ecologist, sound artist and local residents in the process.
